Hi,I heard that is better aproach to configure 1 firewall as a WAN and another as a LAN(routed or transparent)I am little confused about why is necesarry a firewall for LAN isn't a router like cisco could filter using ACL or use the same firewall for WAN.

Still you want the uber paranoid version.ok here we go:ġ) Take all your passwords put them in an encrypted DB like keepass.Ģ) use the key file and DB for added security.ģ) get 2 encrypted thumbdrives one for the key file, one for the DB.Ĥ) Get software to embed files into pictures.ĥ) put the DB into one picture using a secure password, the key file into another picture.Ħ) Use JZip to make a password protected Zip of each image (2 zip files)ħ) create a hidden folder on each thumbdrive place the zips file in the hidden folder on separate drives.Ĩ) make sure you hide one zip drive where it won't be found by anyone - even you.ĩ) keep the other one with you at all times.ġ0) Create a notepad document of where you hid the drives, the password for each drive, the password for the image encryptions, the passwords for the zip files, the password for the keepass DB and thet the hey your most commonly used passwords so you don't have to go through all this crap when you want to log on to spiceworks. That said Keepass is secure enough for me since no one is THAT motivated to get me. I agree, as soon as there is a key to the 'lock' you use, there is a way in and you can be sure that with the right tools, motive and time someone can get it.
